There are a lot of ways that adults can be active at Old Capitol Church.
Women's Study Group and Men's Study Group
- Meets every Sunday morning at 8:00 AM.
Adult Sunday School Class
- Meets each Sunday at 10:45 AM after the worship service.
Ladies' Bible Study
Meets on Sunday evenings from 6-7:30 PM. Contact Jennifer Hansen if you are interested in participating.
Silver Liners
- Meets the second Wednesday of each month at noon.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
- Join Pastor Andy on Wednesday nights starting at 6:00 PM.
Choir Rehearsal
- Our choir rehearses each Wednesday beginning at 6:00 PM. While the bulk of our time is spent preparing music for our worship services, we do round out the evening with a time of sharing and prayer. Contact Karen Bauserman, our choir director, if you would like more information.
Intercessory Prayer Group
- Please join us on Thursdays at 1:30 PM as we lift up the joys and concerns of our Old Capitol family.
Prayer and Repair
- Every other Thursday at 6:00 PM, members gather at the church to have a time of prayer and then complete minor repair jobs. Check our calendar for specific dates.
Small Groups
- Old Capitol has numerous adult small groups that meet on a regular basis. Interested in finding a small group that meets your needs and schedule? Interested in starting a new small group? Contact the church office (812-738-4736).
Dinner Teams
- Old Capitol hosts several special dinners throughout the year as a means of reaching out to the community while simultaneously raising funds to support our mission work. Check out the weekly bulletin or the church calendar for upcoming opportunities to serve.
- In addition to special dinner teams, Old Capitol also has funeral dinner teams. These teams are called upon to prepare and serve a meal following a funeral service. Please contact the church office if you are interested in serving in this capacity (812-738-4736).
Choir
Our choir practices on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM from August-May. All are welcome! For more information, contact Karen Bauserman, our choir director.
Praise Team
Each week, a small group of 3-4 singers assist in worship by leading the congregational songs. These team serve on a rotational basis - serving approximately one time each month. Would you like to learn more? Please contact Mark Carl, our praise team coordinator.
